Characteristics for these materials are:
- Good thermal shock resistance
- Good electrical insulation
- Low thermal expansion
- Good mechanical strength
- Corrosion resistance
- An inert material
Pyrolite C 410 is a dense material having the highest mechanical strength together with excellent thermal shock resistance.
Pyrolite C 511 is a fine grained porous material, suitable for aggressive solutions and resistant to atmospheric conditions.
Pyrolite C 520 is a fine grained porous material with a better thermal shock resistance than C410 and C511
Pyrolite C 530 is a fine grained porous material having the best thermal shock resistance and electrical resistivity per °C. It also has the same higher flexural strength of C520.
